In a few weeks I’ll be photographing (again) the kickoff gala for Portland’s Relay for Life event, a fundraising effort for the American Cancer Society. Last year’s event featured a survivor sharing his story, information about fundraising, and lots of food, fun, and fellowship. Everyone knows someone affected by cancer… I’d encourage you to find some way to raise money or otherwise support your local cancer-fighting efforts.
